Haru ĺżăăŚăă Jul 24, 2022 @ 2:50pm. To anyone who's having the same trouble, apparently when you first run the game through steam it should run a "thinsetup" and then activate the game on origin, where i think it'll identify the steam folder and register under the "installed" tab on origin.

Original Post. This is the last * time im playing any games off of ORIGINS no unsecure and extremely unreliable. I'm staying with steam. I have 30 hours logged onto NFS PAYBACK and yesterday out of nowhere when i start up the game the game wont load because it says the save is corrupt. Since it's common for *ahem* indy developers (and EA sometimes) codes to not understand non-english symbols (they are coming as lots of ????? or random symbols) I thought that this was the problem for me too.

Achievements not unlocking. Checked and verified game files and its not a problem, I'm always online too but my achievements still cannot unlock. I have completed these: Beat all roaming racer bosses. Beat 1% club with GT-R. All Chidori parts. All Carbon parts.
Go into Documents\Need for Speed (TM) Payback\SaveGame\savegame and copy that file to somewhere safe. Then delete the original and disable Origin cloud saving. Start NFS Payback and you have a new save! :D. After your first time playing with the new save, you can renable Origin cloud.
